Welcome! The Washington State Challenge is an Evergreen State Volkssport Association committee set up to provide state-wide award incentive programs for walkers in Washington State. These programs offer awards for completing a “challenge” — a group of walks that fulfill a certain criteria. We currently have three different challenge programs:

History Booklet! The new Town & Trail booklet, History, runs 2007-2009. It will allow you to collect 7 walks in each of 4 categories: Monuments, Cemeteries, Museums and Places on the National Historic Register. To read more about this challenge click here. NOW AVAILABLE.

Water Booklet! The third Town & Trail booklet, Water, runs 2006-2008. It will allow you to collect 7 walks in each of 4 categories: Oceans, Lakes, Rivers and Bridges. To read more about this challenge click here. NOW AVAILABLE.

All Clubs

The "Walk Washington" program starts with the All Clubs Events booklet. You will complete one event (walk, bike or other) for each of the 25 qualifying Washington Clubs.
To qualify, a club must sponsor at least one seasonal or year-round event. The All Club Events program runs 2008 through 2010.

Walk all 39 Counties in Washington State.
This program has been very popular and many new walkers have enjoyed the opportunity to get to know their state. This program will continue indefinitely. To read more about this challenge, including upcoming walks, click here.
