Start Times: 10 AM – 2 PM Monday- Saturday; 11 AM – 2 PM Sunday; Finish: 4:30 PM all days
Note: Closed on New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day

Fees: There is no fee to walk the trail. This is a credit only event. The fee for IVV credit will be $3. B Awards maybe available.
Facilities: There are restrooms and water available at the start/finish point. Food, drink, and restrooms are available at various establishments along the route.
Course Description: The trail is rated 1. The route is along city sidewalks and paved park paths. Strollers, wheelchairs, and wagons should have little difficulty with this route.
Highlights: This walk starts at a museum, which focuses on the career of General Douglas MacArthur and the history of the Korean War. The route includes the downtown Norfolk waterfront along the Elizabeth River, Tidewater Community College campus buildings, Nauticus The National Maritime Center, The Battleship Wisconsin, and the new MacArthur Center Mall. The walk also goes past many historic buildings, shops and restaurants in the Ghent neighborhood.
Directions: From I-64, take Exit 284-A west toward downtown Norfolk. Leave I-264 at Exit 10 to City Hall Avenue. Cross Saint Pauls Boulevard and follow City Hall Avenue for two blocks. Turn right into the MacArthur Center Mall parking garage. Park wherever possible. Take your parking ticket with you. The attendant at MacArthur Memorial will stamp it to give you some free parking. Exit the garage on City Hall Avenue, cross the street, and walk to the MacArthur Memorial. Ask the attendant at the Theater Building for the Walk Box.
