Aloha !
Hoomaluhia in July was a great
kick-off event to start the new
fiscal year. Thanks to all who
helped and participated in this
event. Special thanks to Maria
Brasher who cheerfully (and
always) volunteered to sponsor
this event and to Barbara Mateo-
Kihano who did the officers
installation ceremony. Great job
to you both! Thanks also to Mark
Brown and Terry Puuohau who
previously filled the president and
treasurer positions and kept the
Club on track for many years.
Three traditional walks were held
in August, September and
October: Wahiawa, Upper
Manoa/Lyon Arboretum and
Discover Moiliili. These walks
were wonderful ones to explore
the older neighborhoods and find
local good eats. Thanks to Lan
and Marsha for organizing these
walks and to Bob and Wanda
Wright for helping at the
Wahiawa walk.
Following the Mililani Hui Hele
in August, the Club held its
quarterly business meeting. The
Club finalized the walks for the
next 12 months and voted to
continue to offer the year-round
events at a reduced rate of $2.00
for Club members. The standard
rate is $3.00.
The Club has many volunteers
that help in various capacities. As
a result, the Club is able to
sponsor 11 year-round events and
also sponsor traditional walks
throughout the year. Check out

events at
