Tips for 2010 YRE Sanctioning

Below are some helpful hints that you can do before the 2010 YRE window opens on June 1, 2009.

1.  Update your current YRE (2009) now.  YRE information can be updated anytime during the year. Access your club ESR listing.  Choose the event you want to update and click Edit. Dates, Event City and Event Type can not be changed from this edit page.

2.  Check your current listing in the online Starting Point.  This can be done by accessing your club ESR listing picking the event and click on Starting Point Listing. This will show you what will appear in the published (hardcopy) of the Starting Point.

3.  Update your Special Event Classification.  Was a New Special Event added that now can be added to your event?  To update a special event access your club ESR.  Click on the "Special" button.  Choose the event you want to update. Choose the special event you want to add.  NOTE: If you need to delete a special event go to the Club ESR listing page.  Click on the Special Classification Listing.  Pick the listing you want to delete and click "delete this classification".

4.  Check the driving Directions.  Are they in the "Start Point Address" Field? Has a street been blocked?  Maybe there is construction?  You think there is a better way to explain how to get to the event.  Directions should be given from a major highway.  Remember there is limited space in the printed "Starting Point" so be concise.

5.  Check all fields for spelling and punctuation.
