"How to" Instructions for Updating the Club Information
Follow the examples to enter the numerical data. Double-check spelling.
1. From the AVA home page click on "Sanctions & Club Data" link.
2. Click on "Clubs" button.
3. Enter Login and Password [This information should be limited to one person in the club.]
4. Click on "Click here to proceed" when authentication is accomplished.
5. Click on "Club Info" button. This screen contains the club’s official information…the data that will appear in the Club listing on the AVA website. This data is also the official club address. This address receives all mail from AVA HQ, i.e., Check Point, The American Wanderer and event stamps. Make any corrections to these fields and then click on the "Update and Proceed" button. The next screen provides a link to return to the club’s "Home Page".
6. To update the information pertaining to the club officers, click on the "Club Info" button.
7. On the top right corner click the "Officer Updates" button.
8. Correct the information as needed. All items that are RED are required. Do not fill the fields with x’s or zero’s if the position is vacant. At a minimum enter the club’s name and official mailing address and the phone number of the club president. AVA HQ uses the information provided in these fields for various purposes. If data is not provided in these fields, it could impact the timely receipt of event stamps, statements, reports and other vital information the club needs to keep current with policy and procedures.
9. After all the required fields are populated, click on the "Update" button.
10. This screen is used to designate the club’s Official contact, UPS address and where the monthly financial statements are sent.
11. Use the drop list to select the position that will be the Official contact, the UPS address and the financial statement address. The Official address may be selected for any or all of these items.
12, After the selection is made for each item, click on the "Submit" button. A confirmation is generated. Click on the "HERE" button to return to the club’s "Home Page". Check the information on this page to confirm that the information submitted is correct. In addition, check the club’s listing on the AVA website to insure that the information appears correctly. If it is…Congratulations! If not, click through the fields to correct any errors.
