The 70 mile wide path will stretch from Oregon to the Carolinas. While everyone in the United States will be able to see a partial eclipse, the main event is an experience not to be missed and will occur along the path in the picture below. Here in Grand Island, the partial eclipse begins at 11:34:20 a.m.; the total eclipse will begin at 12:58:34 and end at 1:01:09 p.m. This is the area with one of the longest periods of total eclipse with the best chance of clear skies.
