AVA Bimonthly Newspaper - The American Wanderer (TAW)

The American Wanderer (TAW) is a newspaper published bimonthly by the American Volkssport Association (AVA) a non-profit, educational association that promotes fun, fitness, and friendship by providing non-competitive walking and other sporting events for everyone. The AVA represents the United States as a member country of the International Federation of Popular Sports (IVV) and administers all IVV programs in the United States.

The articles and photos for TAW are submitted from clubs and members across the country to promote their non-competitive walking, biking, skiiing, and other events sponsored by their local clubs. The paper is only available as a benefit to Associate Membership in the AVA. The American Wanderer is also available electronically via email to Lifetime Members and Associate Members as a pdf in addition to their paper copy.

If you are a Lifetime or Associate member and would like to receive a copy of The American Wanderer electronically in addition to, or instead of your paper copy, please send an email to avahq@ava.org. Please put "Electronic TAW" on the subject line. Include in your email the email address where you would like to receive your PDF copy of TAW, your membership number, and whether or not you would like to continue to receive both the paper and electronic copy of TAW. Please specify your preference. You can receive both the electronic and paper copy at this time until further notice. A mailing list will be compiled of all addresses and an email with the PDF copy of TAW will be sent out the same day the paper copies are shipped.
